Vegetable garden has been planted!!! Next, I have to put up fencing around the strawberries and the lettuce beds. The raised bed in the forefront has five tomato plants. The next bed has strawberries which have already flowered and have some baby strawberries, not yet ripened, but soon to be and ready to make a summer berry tart. The bed in the background is where we have planted green beans, chives, garlic chives, parsley, basil, broccoli, and red and green leaf lettuces. Look to future posts as the season progresses as we move from the garden to the kitchen to do some creative cooking with the best the earth can give us, right in the back yard!
