I am reposting this recipe in honor of my mom.
You may visit the original post but here I have more details of each step in the process that will result in the perfect loaf every time!

kneading the dough in a stand mixer
raisins are the final addition

knead on floured surface for a few minutes to add some love
if doing a double batch, divide into 2 loaves

place in prepared baking dish
cut an ‘x’ in the center and sprinkle with sugar

fresh out of the oven
transfer to cooling rack, cover with clean towel to cool

Delicious any time, easy to make, makes a terrific gift but you may find it difficult to give away, lol!
very true! that’s why it’s best to make at least 2 loaves! 4 even better because it freezes well and makes it easier to give as a gift.
Mom would be proud! I agree -best served slathered in butter with a flavored jam of choice .ubi
Thanks, Rick. Celia said she likes to cook/bake. This is an easy recipe for her!
